From the early days of our foundation we have realised the potential of flexi-work environments. Environments that are accommodating to flexible work hours and locations and its effect on productivity, work quality and team member recruitment and retention. We understand the challenges faced by modern organisations with the workforce constantly shifting and expanding across geographical locations and time boundaries.
Rather than choosing to ignore these trends we have embraced them and built systems and tools into the way we work to derive benefit from this opportunity. We have also implemented measures to ensure our clients are protected, and receive maximum benefits from our virtualisation.
We have developed, integrated and extended core systems which manage our day to day operations and communication across geographical and time zone boundaries.
Our internal systems can be divided into 5 integral automated components.
- Work - Best practices documentation, Standard operating procedures, Customer relationship management, Financial Management and Recruitment manager
- Manage - Project management, Issue tracking, Workload management, Documentation, Version control, Automated Build Systems and a Deployment manager
- Workstation - Virtualised desktops (Windows & Linux)
- Communicate - Online meetings, Group chat, White boards, Instant messaging, email and our PABX system
- Learn - Online knowledge, Training and orientation system (Currently under development)
All of our systems including workstations are hosted centrally using an on-demand model. This enables us to scale from 1 member projects to a few hundred in a matter of minutes, whilst simultaneously reducing cost as unused resources are simply switched off during unneeded periods. Our on-demand hosting provider charges us by the hour and not per the month, so our systems scale automatically to cater for demand and workload. This enables us to cost effectively rapidly scale based on client and project requirements. All data is stored centrally so central back up and retention is managed internally. This also assists in minimising risk to our clients in that all confidential data is locked down to machines which have stringent security measures and best practices in place.
Our workforce is also on-demand as our team members are remunerated based on work delivered and not time spent. This assists in reducing fixed costs as our cost centres are also on-demand and thereby leading to cost reductions for our clients.
